I am a teenager, and im going to be moving away at the end of this year. Right now I live in California, and I'm trying to get as far away from the city as I can. I love love love country music and the whole the laid back country, down-home lifestyle. I want somewhere in the country, where everyone knows everyone. Somewhere in the bible belt where the people have good Christian morals. Somewhere with friendly people. Somewhere with a majority of white people (but not a racist community). Somewhere where you go to the store and the clerk actually cares about how your day is going.
Oh and i love accents.
I'm considering mainly somewhere in Alabama (northern or central alabama only) and Georgia (not south georgia). I'm also maybe considering mississippi or tennessee as well.. Thanks everyone!

Sure hope you don't move to one of those states and tell a local he has an accent.

I'd check into upstate South Carolina (Greenville/Spartanburg). It's a pretty conservative area politically and is informally known as the "buckle of the Bible Belt." Some people take that as a swipe (I don't know why), but it's simply part of the culture and has helped shaped the region in several ways.

You could try one of the Carolinas. I'm in north GA (just outside Atlanta) and its awesome how you go into a grocery store and can strike up a real conversation with a cashier, and after a few visits people will recognize and know you. or how people hold the door open for others... I can't really say for other states because I only really know GA (and this portion of GA at that) but I get the feeling that you'll find an awesome place to call home in any of the southern states.

I wish you the best with your move .

Augusta is located on the GA/SC border, and not towards North Georgia.. Their are suburban counties around Augusta in both GA and SC who fit your criteria..

Greenbow, Alabama?

Quote:
The Greenbow scenes of "Forrest Gump" were shot on location in and around Beaufort, South Carolina.
Savannah, GA >< Charleston, SC
