To me it seems the winters have been rather long the past several years (though not bad yet this year), lasting from October to May seemingly. I would guess that's a major contributor to Florida's growth as usual, not to mention the numbers of Baby Boomers that are/have been retiring. The Midwest is not losing people, neither is the Northeast. Only Michigan and Maine are losing population(of all 50 states). Indiana, Illinois and Minnesota are seeing healthy gains in the Midwest as is Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey in the Northeast. I would guess that much of the population increase comes from new immigrants who tend to cluster in metro areas, which would explain the lack of growth in the Rockies and Plains states.
I don't want to move but I would sure like to see less U-hauls full of Yanks and Californians moving here.
That's a shame because many Texans were clamoring for this 10+ years ago. (ex-Texan here) - Hopefully, it isn't the non-native Texans who are the ones complaining about it (ya know...the ones who also moved to Texas).

This Texan was not one of the ones wanting immigrants. Unfortunately mass moves dilute the individual cultures our states have enjoyed forever. Many states I have visited had a cool subculture thing going. I always enjoyed that.
I voted "no"
The Twin Cities are growing at a slow rate. and most of the growth is in the suburbs
In Minneapolis we have neighborhoods that are about 60+ percent of residents who moved here from large east coast cities and at the same time the nimbys are moving down to Arizona and Florida

It's okay, we feel the same way about you Texans up here. But please do keep throwing your money into our state when you vacation.
