I don't know, but it just seems that the East Coast is the place to be. It's like the epicenter of the US. I can never fathom on living in Cali. It just seems too far.

No, you're not alone. A lot of people feel the same way, and there's nothing wrong with it.

But if you say it, then some people will start hating. Just be prepared for that.

Hardly. Many people are uncomfortable even leaving the towns where they grew up.

So far I've lived in the NE, SE, and West.

It's essentially the only part of the US that has a similar density, across a wide area, to established Old World places.

No you are not.

I moved from the East Coast (Virginia) to Kentucky in 2010 and trying to move back there after graduation in May. Something about the coast just makes me feel different.

Broaden your horizons, get out a bit, have an open mind. Isn't that what all you East Coast snobs are always preaching? I've been to and lived on the East Coast, it's nothing special at all to me.

And as far a similar "density" (which is the new GOD on these forums), that isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Go to Europe (oh, and ... AHEM... I've lived THERE as well), where it's truly a gem instead of an old world wanna be. Maybe in six or seven hundred years the east coast will be more like what Europe is today, but that won't matter will it?

Bottom line... Get off your high horse. You're missing too much.

Don't many on this forum make fun of people for never wanting to leave home? I've heard a LOT of fun poked at Midwesterners moving to Chicago. That applies, I would guess, no matter where you live (East Coast included). If people want to stay in their comfort zone, what business is it of anyones?

You should certainly be able to live where you think it is best for you... but about 260 million people appear to disagree with your choice of a home!

I love where I Live. I think everybody should.

I take what I read here with a grain of salt. Maybe half the people still live with their parents.

The NE and West Coast are by far my favorite areas of the country, that said I find many other great places accross the US. Having lived on the East and West coasts, I have a slight preference for the East Coast, coupled with family it works well for me. But there are many other great places in this country, all with their own positives and negatives (including the NE)
