I chose Boston, but I'm really a 15th to 25th metro kind of guy.

The poll would work much better if it were multiple choice.

1. NYC
2. DC
3. Boston

It really doesn't get any better than northern NJ (the good parts).

All of them. Though I prefer the Northeast over all.

I already live in Boston metro but I'm leaving soon. If I had to move to one of the metros on the list I'd pick Philadelphia. I could easily see myself making a home there. It's my favorite city on the East Coast. Things I love about Philly...

Gorgeous and contempory skyline (much prettier than Boston's)
The food (cheesesteaks and Italian are right up my alley)
Very well located on the NE corridor and close enough to the shore
Awesome architecture
The European feel of the Ben Franklin Parkway with its squares and fountains
Beautiful City Hall
Fairly decent public transit (although some a bit antiquated but good enough)
Reading Terminal Public Market
One of the countries best art muesums with a impressive exterior design as well
Historical sights and neighborhoods like Society Hill

If money were no issue, I would move back to Los Angeles. However, since it is an issue, I dont want to go back.

Realistically, I live in the Dallas area and love it here. I would also love living in Houston, Atlanta, or Miami (in that order) if I left Dallas.

Nothing against the others, I just hate cold weather. I lived in Chicago for 2 years. Wonderful city, way too cold.

Chicago
Philly
Boston
New York
Washington
Dallas

If I had to pick from those, those are the ones I'd want to live in, in that order.

If I could pick ANY metros:
Minneapolis
Cleveland
Montreal
Chicago
Toronto
Philly
Buffalo
Detroit
Boston
NY
Washington
Seattle
Sioux Falls
Dallas

Throw Duluth and Fargo in there for good measure... maybe Cinci or Houghton-Hancock (MI)
