Hi,
I am trying to find the best area of the USA for IT networking jobs. As in where are the least candidates located with the most jobs? I am considering moving to Phoenix, AZ, but apparently the job market there is not the best.

I am planning to move out from the UK later on, once I have completed a bachelors in Networking.

Thanks in advance,
collinsl

Phoenix is, indeed, not a good place for IT work at the moment. There is no least amount of candidates with the most jobs area anywhere. The US suffers from a massive glut of IT workers, many of whom are eminently qualified, but cannot find work. From California to New York, the economy sucks and people are finding it difficult to find quality jobs. Having a degree does not set you apart because everyone else has one too -- plus experience.

Want a great networking job? Start of realistic, get some experience, get a CCIE and you write your own ticket. I know a guy that earned his CCIE. He is constantly having to turn potential employers away. They contact him out of the blue. He's making awesome money (almost 200k with perks and bennies) as a network architect with a focus on security.

Good places for IT that are not saturated are hard to find. I hear Des Moines, Iowa is really nice for IT workers but is not saturated with them.
