I am independent however I usually lean to the left but the only one i like is Ron Paul

Same here, im an independent as well and Paul was my pick, i think he could do great things in office. For the 08' election i was all for Obama agaisnt Cain but truly Paul seems much more up front than Obama and i would prefer if he were in.
At this point hes winning with a sizeable leverage over the others.
