My husband and I have been Entertainers (Im a Jazz Singer) for over a decade.
We have a short list of places that we are considering moving to but would like to add more. We have both lived in Houston, Atlanta, New York, and Chicago. So we are not looking for the obvious places. We have a small family now ( We are an inter-racial, Creole family) and we are looking for a place with as much Performance opportunities as possible. We are well aware of the challenges so we are seeking out as much positive as we can find
Very important is that we need an audience that wants live music because if we move to a town (like NYC or Austin) where everybody is a Performer then who needs a show?

Syracuse would be great, as there is an underrated Jazz scene and this includes the biggest free Jazz festival in the Northeast. Its location is also great in terms of going to other cities in the Northeast, Canada and the Midwest. There are venues to perform at and there is some talent in the area, if your husband wants to write songs for them as well.

Being an interracial couple is no big deal here either. You would probably like the Eastside of the city or the Eastern and Northern suburbs around here. Cost of living is below the national average too.
