Name only 10 places you'd tell anyone that they should visit in the US before they die. They can be cities or tourist attractions, historical landmarks, etc etc.

I don't really see the need for the Bolded
I think
NYC
Acadia Nat. Park
Grand Canyon
Washington DC
Everglades
Yellowstone Nat. Park
Badlands
Utahs High Desert
Cape Cod/Islands
Hawaii (Big island)

I didnt pick many cities because most cities are pretty similar from a vacationers point of view, as they are usually in the city for a few days then gone, while National Parks and natural places you can spend a couple days in and get the expericnce because its less of a social event which you need connections.

A top ten for each person would be different. Some people like to relax, some people like to do a ton of stuff. Some people like cities, others prefer nature.

Cities/man-made things
New York City
Washington, DC
San Francisco
New Orleans
Boston or Philly
Chicago
Las Vegas
Miami
Los Angeles

Natural
Yosemite National Park
Hawaii (yes, I know that is a state, couldn't decide which Island)
Grand Canyon
Bryce Canyon
Florida Keys
Arches National Park
Pacific Coast Highway/Big Sur
Colorado Rockies
Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive
