It's time for a change. I need to move. I want the following things in my new city:

low crime
low cost of living
beach (ocean) access
prefer not extreme hell heat in summer (but does not exclude if the rest fits)
services available for my 15 yr old autistic son
low rent
nice people
charm
beautiful sunsets
public school that has good special ed program
variety of restaurants

Is this possible?

Do you have a preference in terms of region?

Greater Charlotte, North Carolina. I would say Huntersville or Cornelius.

The part about beautiful sunsets pretty much says you're going to be looking at the West Coast. Which isn't known for a low cost of living (depending on what your idea of low is). Have you thought about someplace like Michigan? Many of their beaches (and sunsets over Lake Michigan) are incredible, and the cost of living is reasonable (IMO).

Yeah, I thought about the Great Lakes too. In our neck of the woods, Oswego or one of the Irondequoit school districts could work. Perhaps Hilton or Webster too.
