Slightly over 3 hours to get home from northeastern Queens to my home in southwestern Suffolk. A distance about 30 miles or so.

We left at 3PM. We could have left much earlier but my boss was an idiot. SO we waited till 3PM when EVERYONE ELSE on Long Island was let out at the same time because of the worsening storm. I crawled home for 3 hours but I did have some satisfaction when I found out my boss also took 3 hours plus to get home.

An after-work hours (6 pm) drive from Dunwoody (Atlanta) to Stone Mountain (Atlanta) around 285 to a co-worker's house for dinner. I thought "eh...40 minutes ought to be plenty." It took 1 hour and 20 minutes. There was no accident, and I think it was a fluke. Atlanta's 285 Perimeter "beltway" usually loosens up a bit after 6 pm.

Portland Ore on I 205 coming home north, distance of 45 miles took 7 hours to get half way..pulled off and stayed in Motel..it was full, another driver agreed to share a room for half the expenses. Got up at 4AM and drove home...took another 45 minutes in the dangerous ice (with my pickup) to get home.
