Not sure if someone won, but it wasn't me.

Actually, I hit $3 for matching the mega ball +1. My office pool tix won $4. To share among 12 people... 33 cents each.

I heard a billionaire has played. Im not sure how much, but how selfish can that SOB be if he wins.

If I won I would set up an LLC to collect it rather than show up in person. I would never mention it to anyone, not even my family or closest friends. Winning a jackpot that big would ruin your life in many ways, the fame would kill you since people are so resentful.

I understand some states allow you to remain unknown while others do not. I agree with you about how this fame and resentfulness could kill you and certainly end life as you know it and not just in a good way. There was a news story about one gentleman from DFW who won a number of years ago and lives well but has managed to avoid most of the dreadful things that happen to so many who win. I think he is the exception

Yeah I heard Warren Buffett and Bill Gates and Oprah were all in line at the local gas station picking thru change.

Dreaming about what they could do with the winnings.

I had bought some tickets for the big jackpot but I also play regularly.
I don't understand people who only play when the jackpot gets really high.
I'm not greedy- the start over amount- $12 Million would be more than enough for me.
