Which states have license plates that list the county name on the plate?

Exs: http://www.theus50.com/mississippi/license.php

I know Mississippi, Georgia and Tennessee all do. Any others?

Florida does it for most counties on the standard issue tags.

Indiana.

Also, there are some states that list their counties by the first few digits on their plate.
Alabama is one of them along with Idaho and I believe Wyoming as well.

I wish every state in the union listed their counties on their plates. I wonder why this isn't the case?

As mentioned above, Idaho does, but it is in code. 1A, 1B, 2C, mean Ada, Bannock, Canyon. In other words, it is alphabetical with multiple counties with the same first letter listed as 1,2,3, etc. I believe Montana has a similar system. Washington State used to do this (50's through the 80's?) with the first letter of the plate, but discontinued it when the biggest counties started taking up too many letters.

Curious about MD. Can you give an example? I didn't know you could verify county on any of the Maryland plates?
