BOSTON, April 5 (UPI) -- A Boston-based Web site has compiled a list of the world's 10 funniest town names, including Tightwad, Mo., and No Name, Colo.

SmarterTravel.com said local legend holds Tightwad received its name in the early 1900s when the town's postmaster was angry about being cheated in a watermelon sale and No Name locals said the town received its unusual moniker when a state Department of Transportation official gave the designation to an Interstate 70 exit that had no official designation.

I think the funniest name for a town is Nyork Nyork, or as some people there call it, Nyawk Nyawk..

I am originally from Kingsley, Iowa. Kingsley used to be called: Quorn.

My mother taught at an elementary school in a nearby town - Correctionville, Iowa.
There was a "Correction" made in a county line - right through the middle of town. So, their main street has an odd "jog" in it. You go about half a block to the right and then back to the left.
