Just seeing what other people think. In your opinion, what state has the largest amount of "boosters"?

Texas, California, Florida...the usual.

City boosters? Large cities in the aforementioned states.

Of course, Texas is known for their state pride. You know, "Don't Mess With Texas", "Everything is Bigger in Texas", "They don't make them quite like they do in Texas", "Texas, it's like a whole 'nother country".

Yet, I never really have noticed Texans bragging about their state, in person.

I have, however, found people from Maryland to claim that how they do it, regardless of whatever it is, is the right way.

Thus, probably the most absorbed state prideful people, from what I've seen.:

-Maryland
-California

It's TX and it ain't even close y'all
God Bless Texas
I wasn'nt born in TX but I got here as soon as I could (commonly seen bumper sticker)
I've traveled the entire country and never saw state pride like here. Sometimes it can actually be a bad thing. Like when you're a Yankee transplant. But for the most part I enjoy the state pride Texans have.

Texas is very proud and braggadocious, yet in an humble sort of way. I can't describe it. You just can't get mad at 'em--it's almost contagious just when you visit.

Californians wear it on their shirts and tattoos. They're not nearly as humble as people, although that doesn't necessarily transcend into their state pride. It's very easy to be a proud Californian for obvious reasons.

The Michiganders, believe it or not, who don't find themselves unemployed for three years also seem to be a proud bunch.

There are enough proud NYCers to render NY State in this category just because of the population base, but Metro NYC only consists of some 5% of the state's geographic area.

Don't forget about Kentucky and South Carolina. I lived in Kentucky and while some areas are beautiful and the people are generally nice, they will NOT tolerate almost any criticism of their state...which might explain why it's still behind the times. And South Carolina basically worships the Palmetto tree as indicated by all their freakin' decals, "SC Native" bumper stickers, etc.
