I have a friend in Sweden, and need to give her the proper numbers to call me in the US from her country. I did find some instructions stating to start with dialing 00, then it says to follow with the country code. What is a country code? 1 (one)? Then the instructions say to then enter area code and number. Can anyone help me with our "country code"! Please...

Exclamation US COUNTRY CODE is ONE

HELLO RANCE!

Our COUNTRY CODE is ONE followed by your STATE CODE, followed by your telephone number.

If she is using a calling card, she might have to input other numbers, that relate to the card, not the US or State codes.
She should also call her tel. operator and ask them what she needs to dial from her home to do this DIRECT , as to this way it will be cheaper for her,vs. thru the use of the operator.
Hope this helps.

Excellent website, Figment!

I agree with the U.S. code being "00" So:

00-1-XXX-XXX-XXXX

Where the X's signify the local phone number with area code included.

Thanks.

The USA country code is 1. "00" is the code in many countries that one dials to make an international call. The "00" is followed by the country code, then the local area code and then the phone number.
