Which city in the Bos-Wash megalopolis is the best sports city with the best fans who support their teams the best.
New York City
- Great teams but their seems to be alot of bandwagon fans which makes sense because they have 2 teams in each sport
Philadelphia
- Real hardcore fans (sometimes too hardcore though) They seem to travel VERY well, i remember a Eagles - Vikings game in Minnesota and you wouldn't believe how many Eagles fans from PA who were at the game.
Washington D.C
- I don't know too much but here they are not the greatest sports town.
Baltimore
- I like Orioles fans, dont know too much else though
Boston
- Same as Philly just not as hardcore.
My vote would go to Philly, but would like to hear what others think
I think you have it about right. Washington and Baltimore serve as the home away from home venues for the Phillies and Redsox respectively. That happens in a town that lacks enough of a home fan base.

In terms of having the best fans (meaning to me ones you wouldn't mind sitting next to) I'd give the title to Boston. Philly fans have a deserved reputation of classlessness.

Baltimore has very loyal baseball fans, and they still draw well all these years despite nearly two decades of crappy teams.
Are you talking about the fanbase in general or as a sports city overall? Baltimore has a lot of heart, but since they don't have all four teams, is it fair for them to be in the running here?
Baltimore sports fans are die-hard. Orioles' fans hate the redsox & Yankees. And Ravens' fans hate everybody... Especially the Steelers, Patriots and Colts. Ravens' and Steelers' fans will talk trash anytime, anywhere; it's like the crips and bloods.

I actually edited this post to revise my statement. All of the major cities in the Northeast seaboard,to be honest, plus Buffalo and Pittsburgh, are die-hard sports cities. Washington, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Baltimore are all major sports cities, and I'd say much of this might have to do with the fact that they have been home to major sports teams for the longest of most cities in the U.S. in virtually every league.
The Midwest and Northeast definitely have the best sports fans IMO, mainly because they've been home to big league sports teams for the longest. The West and South all are newer with regards to basketball, hockey, and baseball.
