There is a very nice tall apartment building across from the Gold Spike casino in Las Vegas. It's also very handy for my favourite buffet at the Fremont!! I'm so shallow....I would also like to give Iowa a go. I hear the people are nice there, and I love open farmland.

I have been pondering this question quite a bit as of late. As much as I like Alaska, over the past 30 years I have been back in Alaska I have never felt at home. Since my job allows me to live anywhere in the U.S. that I want, I see me moving in the next year or two. I still have no idea where it is I want to move to. I am truly tired of winter, yet I hate hot and/or humid weather.

Northern Michigan, Maine, or Oregon

LOL...ya Iowa. Bet you'd get bored with it pretty quick. Some rural areas can be unfriendly to outsiders. There are friendly and unfriendly everywhere.

Hi todd! Yeah, you're right, it's just a pipe dream. I got as far as Ohio back in 1988. The people were friendly there. Although I was warned not to walk through the centre of town at night!!

We are house hunting in Maine and came back from our second trip in January. It will take a while to find that dream Victorian restoration project we're looking for. Why do people take an historic property and turn it into a contemporary nightmare? It makes me crazy!!!!

Maybe the Big Sur.

So many choices, so difficult to decide!

The Texas Hill Country is one of my favourites.

Can I live in New England in the summer and move south in the winter?

Can I? Please!
