Yeah, I find this a bit bizarre too- while this whole thread is just stirring up passionate defenses of one's home state and snarky comments about others- what on earth would make absolutely gorgeous Oregon and Washington be on a anyone's least favorite state list

There's a place out there for everyone!
what makes you think the entire state(s) is/are rainy and dreary?

Exactly, seems like most folks forget that the Eastern 2/3 of both Oregon and Washington increasingly become much more like dry Idaho than rain forest Olympia Peninsula.

they wouldn't be able to grow grapes for their fabulous wines if the weather were like Seattle.
FAVORITE: North Carolina, Alabama, Wisconsin, Washington, California
LEAST FAVORITE: I don't have one. To be honest, all the states are pretty cool in their own way. To state otherwise is to betray a lack of imagination.

Very much, I hate walking outside any time of the year and wearing a rain coat or only seeing overcast and once again everything that can be found in Washington and Oregon can be found in other states with a lot better weather. Yes there is also the eastern half of these states that are semi ok but once again can be found in other states. It is really quite easy to hate the pnw when you'very actually experienced and lived in places that are much better.

I get it - you hate both states the most because of the weather in a relatively small area. Makes perfect sense!
