LOL, that is the worst portrayal of a Minnesota accent ever made! Are you sure she wasn't suffering from Tourettes Syndrome?

Youse Should Lishen to Eour Philly Dialect Sheow | Radio Times | WHYY

Called the "least desirable" of the regional accents. I'll still defend it.

I find a mild Philadelphia accent (like I have) to be impossible to explain. I end up saying "Yo, Jeow, threouw the baaalll" and "wuder."

Ghengis, I don't recall your presence in Berea at that time.

How would you transcribe the Minna-SOA-ta pronunciation of the same phrase, which in standard English, was "Oh, you guys have such strong accents!"

When asked if I wanted my ham and cheese sandwich on wheat or rye bread, just outside of Valley Forge, PA a number of years ago, I first thought the asker was saying "Wet or dry?" He didn't like it much when I asked him to repeat what he'd said, either.

I ask this in a non-argumentative way: how does it sound like we have objects in our mouths?
