You have the Northeast, Midwest, West, PNW, South, etc...
South Florida in general isn't being considered the South (culturally) to many so can one make another region out of South Florida?
To add to this, South Florida is not only different culturally, but also climatically to the South as it has a tropical climate and plant life/vegetation is soooo different from the rest of the South.
What do you think?

No. Florida is Florida. North Florida + South Florida = Florida.

There is not one region in the country that is Uniform. Chicago is very different from most of Illinois, Upstate New York is Different from NYC. LA and SF are different from each other and Different from the rest of the state. Houston and Dallas are different from West Texas. Florida is no different. You really can't expect the entire State of Florida to be uniform, let alone the entire South. The Southern US is bigger than 95% of the countries in the world in terms of area

Savannah Georgia itself is different then many other parts of Georgia. Not all states are exactly simiolar even among themselves.

I think most of us identity South Florida as its own region, Flordia as a whole is the south. It has southern politics, a southern vibe, southern people, etc while South Florida is on its own, in my opinion.

Savannah is very similar to Charleston which also has many similarities to Wilmington (NC). So while Savannah is unique to Georgia it's not unique in the mega region south. I'd say south Florida has no good place because it's southern vibe has been completely swamped by immigrants from latin america and northern states. But it still has a southern "backbone" so should be included as part of the south.

Florida is part of the south, and south Florida is still part of Florida. That means south Florida is just part of the south, even though it is somewhat different that does not mean its entitled to be called its own region. New Orleans is just as different from the rest of the south as south Florida is, but its still the south. Cairo Ill is almost southern in culture, but being part of Ill it is midwestern. Pittsburg is very different from the rest of the Northeast, but again its part of PA. I love the census bureaus designation of the regions of this nation. Its concrete, and its backed up by data and history not someones idea of what a place should be.
