In Cleveland, I'd say New York and Michigan.

I have heard comments from a few people who live in St. louis, mainly in south county, complaining about seeing so many Illinois plates as if they were some huge distance from Illinois.

I have seen a fair number of PA and GA plates in the St. Louis area recently.

I see Wyoming and Nebraska the most. I also see North Dakota quite a bit. I live in a tourist area, so I actually see plates from all over. The other day I got stuck in a swarm of motorcycles from Utah and New Jersey. Today I saw cars with Illinois, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

I know this is a US state thread but I figure some might be interesting in knowing Canadian province data... (unofficial of course)

In Montreal, Quebec we see, in this order:
1. Ontario
2. New York
3. New Jersey-Massachussets (tie)
4. Vermont
5. Maine-Florida (tie)

Also, somewhere in the 8-10s I'd wager Georgia and NC... seem to punch above their weight class given how far away they are. Florida is to be expected given the (in)famous snowbird connection.

Canadian plates, apart from the very common Ontario, are quite rare. I'm confident I see less New Brunswick than Maine...

Along the western shore of the Chesapeake, Virginian plates are the only common out of state ones. There's also a fair amount of plates from the other southeastern coastal states. Delaware and NY plates can be seen on occasion.

In SE Michigan, it's typically Ohio, and Illinois, yet surprisingly not a whole lot of Indiana. We also have a lot of Ontario, unsurprisingly.
