Thanks to those who let me know where my family and I should or should not live.

Which cities and towns have a community college, four year college, or university (public or private) offers Geography (all types) as a major?

Pardon my lack of knowlege, but what career would one pursue with a degree in Geography? Other than teaching, of course?

Mining, farming, and industries such as oil rely heavily on geography/geology types.

GIS (Geographic Information Systems) techonology is really big right now. I know the local community college here in Grand Rapids offers an associates degree in it.

Laura, if you can narrow down your search to a few states (as opposed to the whole country), I have access to a licensed (pay) site where I can print a list of colleges that offer whatever major you're interested in. PM me if you want more info. Otherwise I'm sure there are free sites out there that can do the same thing if you look around.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Meteorology is something else I'm interested in along with GIS.

Any colleges or universities offer Geography degrees online?

Thanks in advance.
