I don't really mind hipsters but i don't really understand them either. They all try to be so different yet there all so similar. Most hipsters I have met are nice but I think people generally dislike hipsters because they often try to purvey this "I dont give a crap" look when really they give more of a crap them everyone else because they go out of their way to be different. A hipster is kind of an oxymoron.

There are at least a half dozen neighborhoods in Minneapolis that could be labled hipster but North Loop isn't one of them. It is full of high end condos for office workers. But it is a Forbes list so of course it is wrong.

Generally people in Uptown are known for being real artists and radical anarchists(i.e. Occupy Oakland)

Exactly.

This list insults some of these neighborhoods by branding them. LOL

Oakland for example has several areas that are are transforming into meccas for this crowd, Uptown is the most famous but all around downtown and even in West Oakland and East Oakland we see this demographic spreading very quickly.
