which city do you think would be really good if it had more people?
Honestly i think chicago could be better if it had more people. If the population was around 4-5 million people. may be 5.8 million it would be much better. For once there will be more things to do and the stores in downtown wouldn't close till midnight or 10 pm. i also think

Most older cities would do better with more people. Thats what Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, Saint Louis, et. cetera. were built for,

St. Louis WITHOUT QUESTION. This city was once 900,000 strong, among the four largest in the United States...at one time the largest cities in the United STates were New York, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, and Cleveland. Then the latter three experienced white flight to the suburbs when their industries crashed and blacks migrating north looking for better opportunities moved into the cities from the South. St. Louis is about to give its downtown a major facelift and is in the process of converting quite a few buildings to lofts...I've counted approximately 20 buildings now with plans for residential units. Three skyscraper condos/mixed office residential use are planned for the Bottle District with an additional 1-3 for the Ballpark Village. there are many more condos planned for the Midtown area. St. Louis has recently managed to hit rock-bottom (around the end of the 1990s) and is now on its way back up.

I second St. Louis. It has lost half its population in the last 50 years. Its coming back though!

Especially Saint Louis (all areas), Detroit (all), Buffalo (all), Cleveland (all), Cincinnati(all), Philadelphia, Chicago (South, West sides).

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I think I read somewhere that Pittsburgh actually has a surplus for the city budget. |
