I kind of hope St. Paul's is still better, but I hope the Mall of America's one is really good and St. Paul's is really really good.

Great photos, Kathryn! Thank you very much for sharing. Some of the areas I have gone. Definitely Utah and Colorado are musts for me. Here is a video of the spectacular San Rafael Swell in Utah. I'm dying to go there.

espizzaro - since you like Pittsburgh you will probably like Knoxville TN. It's a smaller version. Maybe not worth going out of your way for but if you are passing by on the interstate it's worth a stop. The Smokies are wonderful but avoid Gatlinburg/Pigeon forge during the tourist seasons. There are other gateways that are equally scenic.

Knoxville is a TERRIFIC area! Very underrated - which is probably good for Knoxville.

As for Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge - those two towns are simply ruined. Their local governments and chambers of commerce and economic development councils have allowed two beautiful towns to become absolutely horrible tourist traps. Such a pity.

I personally really like Cherokee, NC though - right across the mountain range!
