Either Eastern Washington, San Juan Islands of Washington, South Central Alaska, or Interior Alaska. Possibly Big Island of Hawaii. Possibly.

Love the garden district but too hot, muggy and flat. Speaking of Po-Boys, love "Olde Time Grocery" Po-boys in Lafayette La.

I would stay here in the Black Hills, or I would head over to the Bighorns or Tetons in Wyoming.

Irritated by vehicle noise pollution, anywhere there isn't a large proliferation of Harleys, or cars/pickups with modified exhausts and matching angry drivers.

Only places that could probably fit this bill are retirement-age communities and semi car-free places where people don't care for those sorts of things.

Probably Boston or NYC. Definitely somewhere in the Northeast.

I think I would have to say Bozeman, MT or Salt Lake City, UT.

However, WNC will always have my heart and be my home.

Hard to decide.

My husband and I are lucky enough to be able to live anywhere we want in the US. Right now we live in Texas, and we have loved it here, but we're ready for a change. We are strongly considering the Appalachians/Smoky Mountains. We're going to look at real estate there in a couple of months. We love the whole NC/VA/WV mountain area.

We also love New Orleans (I'm a native - laissez le bon temps rouler!) but the summers are SO hot and muggy...that's a drawback.

My very favorite place in the world is Yorktown, Virginia and that area. If left to my own devices, I'd choose that area, but I do love the Smoky Mountains NEARLY as much. I feel very blessed to be able to move there if that's what we choose to do.

Actually as far as truly moving goes, the second runner up for my husband and me is the Texas Hill Country around Fredericksburg or Bandera. That's an option we haven't taken off the table.
