Drive for the most part. I think most people who go vacation anywhere, drive. Flying is more common for long distance visits to family, friends or business trips but a vacation to somewhere like Disney World, the Keys, etc. driving is generally preferable. A family vacation to the beach in the Keys, makes a lot more sense to pack the car and only worry about gas than pay for a ton of airplane tickets when its only a few hours by car. Its not that long of a drive to the Keys even from Pensacola. I drive when I visit family (Miami) only making it an exception next month cuz I'm gonna be there only 3 days.

Lake House is maybe a mile as the crow flies to the GA/SC border. Actual house in Atlanta is about 80 miles to SC and oddly enough about 80 miles to AL.

Really?! I mapped Pensacola to Islamorada and it's about 11 hours. I live in New England, and in the same amount of time, I could be in the Outer Banks in North Carolina. There are always going to be people who pile the family into a car for a multi-day road trip, but I don't think most people here are driving to the Outer Banks. Is it really that different in Florida?

Pittsburgh is between 30 and 60 miles from West Virginia Maryland and Ohio. Depending on the direction you will hit the state line in 45 minutes. On the Interstate anyway.
