Default Road to...some other state.

I've never actually lived in the interior of a state. I think it'd be a weird feeling having to drive long distance just to get to another state.
I lived in Gurnee, IL (10mi from Wisconsin) and now I live in New Albany, IN (7mi from Kentucky) so I'm used to that feeling of another state "right around the corner."

Whew, that was easy. It is less than 60 mile drive to NC, a little more than 30 even if you hike.

It is quicker to drive 60 miles to Kentucky as it is interstate all the way.
