Helena, MT to Lolo Pass, ID (Not a town, just the state line on top of the pass) is 158 miles.

The Wyoming state line inside Yellowstone National Park is about 180 miles

Helena, MT to the international border with Alberta is 205 miles

I'm really far from the borders with North and South Dakota. At least a seven hour drive.

2 miles to the NY/NJ border from Ramsey, NJ.

34 miles to the NJ/PA state line in the northwest corner of the state.

I cross the NY/NJ line regularly.

I live about 7 miles from Staten Island, New York, probably about 15 from Brooklyn and about 20 from Manhattan. Upstate New York is probably 40 miles from me.

Do water borders count? Whether or not they do would make a big difference for me here in Central New York.

45 to the maritime border with Ontario
73 to Pennsylvania
91 to the land border with Ontario
171 to Vermont
173 to Connecticut
174 to Quebec
181 to New Jersey

About 60 miles to the WV-Ohio border at Huntington. A little further than that to the Kentucky state line. When I lived outside Baltimore, MD it was also about 60 miles or so to either Delaware or Pennsylvania, and less than 50 miles to the District of Columbia line.
