The list of the top city searched for is not surprising but I was surprised on NYC ranking in the list.

I wonder when this list was composed and I know I search for the city in regards to compared Charlotte DNC to one Denver hosted.

Also i figure Super Storm Sandy would have NYC up higher as the city was in the news for weeks afterwards and still is in regards to that storm.

I wonder if you could google this information and see if indez weekly?

That's not surprising, since they didn't take into account acronyms. One word cities like "Denver" or "Chicago" would do better compared to "Los Angeles", since most people search "LA".

Not many people search New York City. This thread is case in point where no one even said the proper city name yet. I am sure most people search "New York", "NY", or "NYC".
