So it appears New Mexico has a representative wanting to present legislation that would be similar to Colorado's RMJ legalization!

Legislator wants NM to legalize marijuana | ABQJournal Online

I'm happy to hear about this, but I don't think it's very likely to get to far this time around. I have a feeling NM is more likely to 'wait and see' what happens in CO and WA before jumping on any bandwagon.

Other than the mayor of NY wanting to introduce MMJ, have there been any other recent proposals regarding MMJ or RMJ?

Didn't 37 people die due to overdosing on marijuana on the very first day Colorado legalized it? I heard many states are now reconsidering it due to Colorado's horrible start.

The satirical Onion like paper The Daily Currant wrote a satirical article on that, yes.

I think you're right. Most states will likely observe Colorado's moves. When the year end tally of numbers are summed up with the profits and tax revenue it will then gain momentum. The money will talk!

well I live in florida and its coming up in November to be voted on for medicinal purposes, like a recent strain called Charlottes Web was passed for sick individuals.but its still not legal here, I cant wait to vote though. I suffer from severe pain and it would be so much better for me to smoke some pot than having to wait for my local pharmacy Walgreens to have Percocets (pain killers).and anyone whos run out of their meds know its not pleasurable at all going into withdrawls.something I wont go thru with pot.

Only two states will have it on the ballot to legalize it recreationally in November, 2014

Alaska and Oregon

You get your news from the Onion?

You can't OD from marijuana, unlike alcohol; it also is not physically addictive, like alcohol/tobacco/almost every pharmaceutical.

Pretty safe bet that Massachusetts will have it on the 2016 Ballot and based on option polls in the Mid term elections it will pass easily.
