I would say the Great plans is a classic example of flyover country since it's halfway between the east and west coast.

No there's a good amount of people who disparage Middle America especially since 2016. They think Middle America isn't great beyond Chicago, and that's because it's been ingrained to everybody's perceptions based on TV/movies, politics, news media, sports, comedians, bias, hearsay, expats and social media for the last 50+ years.

Also, they feel it's nothing but a bunch of farms, religious people, die hard Trump fanboys or opioids. A lot of us are too lazy to think for ourselves or look anything up for ourselves so it's easier for us to go with whoever's version of the city or cities. Instead of doing the thinking for themselves, they let somebody else do their thinking for them, which is the worst thing you can do.
