I've only been to Delaware once. It was in the summertime. We went to the beach.

The OP asked what is the first thing that we PERSONALLY think of when we think of a state. That's what I personally think of.

Heck, I haven't even been to some of the states on the list.

But there is no right or wrong answer to the question. We can't HELP what we think of when we first hear the name of a state. That's the whole point of the thread, I believe.

I think of crowded roads when I think of Delaware. Then I think of the beach and how cold the water was even in July.

I still had fun there though!
