You could go to any state and find an area well away from any city feel.
Wyoming does have the fewest shopping centers of any state but you could go to Texas, New Mexico, Florida, New York etc. and find an area just as far away from any kind of city life as you could in Wyoming.
Montana has only one movie theater?! Better check that again! Sure, it's a HUGE state (4th largest) with a very spread out population. But 1 million people DO live there and it has some pretty large cities by standards in that part of the country: Billings (100,000 people) Missoula and Great Falls (50,000+), Butte, Helena, Bozeman and Kalispell (25,000+). I spent two weeks in Montana last summer. I'm pretty sure they've got more than ONE movie theater! I even saw a couple of malls!

No state, any decent sized city will have at least one shopping mall, no matter how small. But like the others said it doesn't matter if you live in a remote area.
