Regular unleaded was $3.37 in West Springfield MA today 1/18/2013. We haven't gone under $3 in a very long time.

$3.069 to $3.199 locally, 1/18/13. Prices were down to $2.849 (cash payment) a week ago or so, and under $3.00 for about two months before going up within the last day or two.

Gas prices are definitely on the rise again. No surprise there. One day and you can mark my words. It will not be the gradual rise to close to $4.00 or slightly over. It will be $5.00 and $6.00 and it will be done over a short period of time. It's coming. Gas in the Phoenix area is now over $3.00 again. Up to around $3.05 to $3.21 depending on the location for regular unleaded.

1/27/13

Paid $3.239 today in Northern MN. Oh well, the $2s were exciting while they lasted.

It's been interesting to read about different prices in different parts of the country and to think about the whys. Not something I really thought about before. Populous areas pay more - due to demand? Why is gas in Alaska so expensive since much of our gas comes from there?
