If something catches my eye in the 'last post' column. Certain threads in Alaska have caught my attention that way. Alaska has a bunch of interesting curmudgeons.

I also find myself reading a Mississippi thread now and then. A state so vilified must have some real undiscovered, unappreciated qualities so it always fascinated me.

sometimes I look in on the other areas just to make sure they aren't up to no good or planning any funny business, if you know what I mean.

VERY seldom, but I am surprised at how many non locals do it on ours.

Sometimes, but rarely. I don't even check my home city/state board because I have no interest in it, and can't wait until I move soon.

I am on my relocation city board constantly. And sometimes NYC because I travel there a few times a year. But sometimes I do get curious and check out random forums on here.

Or I'll be scrolling down and one of the latest threads will grab my attention.

I do this every once in a while, but mostly just those forums for the states which border my state or are regional neighbors (I live in the Northwest/Northern Rockies). The WA, OR and ID forums are my favorites (much more active than the MT forum), even though I rarely post on them.

When it comes to the state forums, I mainly stick to Washington and Alaska (and their respective sub forums). Every once in a while I check out Hawaii. Even more seldom I may look at another state that for some reason or other piques my interest at the time.

I also frequent the General US forum, the Weather forum, the Science and Technology forum, the Space forum, and once in a while the Video Game forum.

I like to look at the photo threads in a lot of different states. Some threads have more/better pictures than others (not necessarily correlated with how "beautiful" each state is thought to be).

One of my favorite things to do in the fall is look at all of the foliage pictures that people post for different areas.

Occasionally the "last post" for a random state will catch my eye and I'll end up browsing that forum for a while.

I must admit I do, I check out Arizona & California pretty often, & a few others-- mainly because I'm debating where I'd be relocating to.
It gives me a feel for how things are there.
I already love California....if I went I wouldn't come back here
