I'm talking about the overall influence of the mainstream culture of the city? Portland, OR feels like the most hipster city in overall vibe in the US. Like to hear your thoughts.

You should have added Burlington, VT on there.

Anyway, I voted for Austin, TX. I was just there last month and couldn't stand it. It's way too hipster for normal people to fit in. Everywhere you look, you see at least one hipster, out in public. I haven't visited Portland, Seattle or San Francisco though. But between Austin and Brooklyn, I vote Austin.

Portland OR. An entire swath of the city, between the eastern bank of the river that divides it, all the way to an inland ring freeway some 5 miles away, is replete with hipsters. It makes sense that Seattle is on the list. Minneapolis should be an option, too. Both Seattle and Minneapolis have a higher percentage of yuppies, though, so that makes the hipsters stand out more in Portland.

Add Asheville, NC to that list.

I hate that city now. It used to be a fun, appalachian, mountain town...Now it's overrun with pretentious, pseudo-intellectual, losers from all over the eastern seabord that believe their every utterance is something remarkable or profound. Their annoying, textbook, liberal agenda and inability to articulate their beliefs beyond whatever spiel jon stewart was on the other night is another "bonus" of having these panty wastes roaming around your proximity.

I hate that place these days...full of hipsters and void of deoderant.

Minneapolis is too mainstream so Saint Paul is starting to get pretty hipster.

You're expanding that boundary a little too much. There's not many hipsters east of 39th or north of Killingsworth. Once you get to 82nd or Columbia there's none. They stay further in than that.

It's the most major player not present in this poll.

Philadelphia has an abundance of hipsters, if less so than the likes of Portland (or Eugene).

Didn't think of Philly nor Minneapolis. The other cities I've listed are well known as hipster spots.

Are hipsters still relevant? I thought it was 2013.
