Planning on moving
we are 2 college students. we are moving from the sf area and want to live in a city that is still city like downtown but also more spread out and suburban. Also we would like to move somewhere with natural beauty... snow, mountains,or ocean and greenery.... just wondering what your guys suggestions are

thats funny because i was looking into those exact places. im not too sure about salt lake but i am really interested in the others. I think we are looking to find some place outside of california that we can move too go to college make enough money between two to rent a decent apartment and still be near a downtown city. we havent really been outside of california except to vegas and missouri(bleh) so yeah

Once you narrow down the list visit a few of the cities and see how you like it.

The Atlanta metro area is really quite pretty -- lots of hills, and most of the area used to be pine forest so there are a LOT of trees around. And the Atlanta metro area is definitely spread out!
Of course, you'd have to dodge bullets and crazy people in cars in order to enjoy the scenery, at least in some places in the metro, but it isn't all bad. I actually like it down here even though Atlanta is quite dissimilar from my native Minnesota in various ways. :-)

toughguy: im not talking about the downtown being spread out.... im talking about the rest of the city... sorry we wanna move somewhere where there is an obvious downtown but the rest of the city is not all really compact like new york or san francisco and also the natural beauty and safety thing is a big one
