If you live somewhere with a great location, how often do you get out of town?

I'm in Knoxville TN and I try to get to the Smokies once a week in the summer, every other week in the winter. I usually go camping 2-4 times a year - that might be 2-3 hours away. Usually just for a night. Once or twice a year I'll visit a nearby city - there are several good ones to choose from.

The last couple of years I've taken extended vacations both in the winter and fall.

My family and I enjoy taking weekend trips to Santa Barbara or San Diego every now and again. We also go out to Arizona a fair amount.
