Does anyone know where I can get hold of census block data for the 2010 Census? The smallest unit I can find both population and area data for are census tracts.

If you want a map rather than text or table based data this has it:

Interactive map: 30 years of census data - The Washington Post

zoom to the highest level. Seems not to display correctly in Safari but ok in Firefox.

Thanks very much for replying, but I already have access to maps with block boundaries via both the Census Bureau and TIGERweb. It seems despite their boundaries being readily seen on maps, data on these smallest of units is very illusive.

Mapping America ? Census Bureau 2005-9 American Community Survey - NYTimes.com
- Median Household Income
- Educational Attainment
- Racial Makeup
- Poverty rate
(This is data from 2005-09 so it's not for the 2010 census)

This is from the 2010 census and is very similar to above except there is no income data:
http://projects.nytimes.com/census/2010/map

You can also use city-data's map, which is extremely in depth. Just type in your town name and then "city-data" and then click on the city-data link and then an interactive map comes up. (ex: Atlanta, GA city-data)..... But I do question the reliability of much of the data.

I actually already had that NY Times one bookmarked, though it only goes to tract level.

City-data's map only goes seems to go to block group level, or at least only to group level for the area around Greensburg, PA, which I'm looking at at the moment.

Thanx anyway though. I'm glad there are some people who might be interested in this sort of thing.

Try here:

MABLE/Geocorr12 Version 1.1 - MIssouri Census Data Center

Choose block under source, and some larger unit (county? state? metro?) for target.
