NYC spreads into PA (and like NJ - there are places that could be considered the outer burbs of both NYC and Philadelphia)
Philly spreads into Maryland (and there are places that could be considered the outer burbs of Baltimore and Philadelphia)

Boston loosely spreads into NH and RI

Detroit goes into Ontario (Canada)
San Diego goes into Baja California (Mexico) - I'm not counting the smaller American/Mexican border cities

Kansas has suburbs of Kansas City.
Maryland and Virginia have suburbs of DC.
New Jersey has suburbs of New York City.
Mississippi and Arkansas have suburbs of Memphis.

Someone should just post a list of all major cities on a state border. That will put this to rest real quick.
