Miami is closer in density to the other sunbelts than it is to Los Angeles. That includes residential/structural/amenities. I get what you're saying though, but it throws things off for me. I'd take L.A. over anywhere, but I'd probably take the old school cities over the other sunbelts. I have no issue with either lifestyle though.

Compelling arguments can be made for both, one hand you have NY, SF, DC, BOS, SEA, CHI the other you have L.A., MIA, HOU, DAL, ATL, PHO, LV. I like NY more but its met its match with L.A.

Decisively sunbelt where the women show skin and no thick coats required
