The wealthiest island in San Francisco Bay is Belvedere, located in Marin County. The tiny town of about 2,000 people has an average family income of $319,852 according to the latest census bureau data.

Here are 2 pics of Belvedere from my flickr page:

Yes, and also a quarter of all children living below the national poverty line.

Manhattan has great income disparity and the poverty rates increase annually.

From City-Data:

Manhattan residents living below the poverty line: 20.7% *Rate among children: 25%

46% of all NYC residents earned less than 150% of the national poverty rate in 2011.

I dont think that is what the OP meant. And honestly, I wouldnt call any of those islands exclusively wealthy. They have plenty of poor people too.

I think a better example would be Fishers Island, Block Island, Gardiners Island and maybe to a lesser extent Shelter Island. The majority of the residents on these islands are wealthy and you can tell by the huge estates that line the shores.

I'll add all the Miami Beach islands in Biscayne Bay: Star, Hibiscus, Palm, Sunset 1-4 and the Venetian Islands.

Well technically the Chicago River and north branch/northshore channel form an island that comprises of River North/Gold Coast up through Evanston. It's about 15 miles long and 3 miles wide and is mostly fairly wealthy or upper middle class areas.
