I guarantee you, what she was attracted to at 23 will be different then what she will be attracted to at 27 or 28.
Adolescence breeds self hate. If you don't look like the magazines or music videos , you feel less adequate. But as you age you become appreciative of who you were created to be.
The OP will learn real quick the nationality of a man has zero to do with the character of a man.............or woman.

Old thread but for anyone else looking for a PR man/woman, try NYC/Connecticut, Orlando, and Philadelphia in that order.

I also have to laugh at Mary20852 posts bringing her hatred of Black men in this when we had nothing to do with it.

I wonder what she would say about PR's that come from or have roots in Loiza? There is a reason I ask that. African American - Latino World: LOIZA: A Black Community in Puerto Rico

If you speak spanish fluently and want a traditonal Puerto Rican, who is very into Latin Caribbean/PR culture, go to straight to Puerto Rico or Florida (especially Orlando or Miami).

If you DO NOT speak spanish fluently and want a more americanised Puerto Rican, who mixes Hispanic/PR culture with black or white american culture. Depending on how many generations they been here, they may act like a watered-down americanised Hispanic, black american, or white/northeast italian, it all depends on how they were raised.

That being said, I would say Philly has the highest rates of Black women/Hispanic men couples in the nation, mostly due to philly black women having high interest in Ricans, higher than most other cities, in other cities youll see more hispanic/PR women dating black men than the opposite but in philly its about even if not slightly more Hispanic/PR men dating black women. Go to Philly, and to a lesser degree Boston & NYC, Hispanics (both males & females) heavily date, marry, & procreate with blacks.

Keep in mind, Puerto Rican is not a race, they can be any race. Some are white, some are black, but the vast majority are heavily mixed race (usually a black/white mix, with some indian thrown in too). Ricans in Florida rend to be whiter, wealthier, and newer (just came from PR) , compared to the ones in the northeast who are more mixed/blacker, poorer, and more established.

Out here in NYC. Puerto Rican women do not date black women. Some here and there will do, but most do not. Even me. I'm in an relationship with an African American women. She revealed to me that my background Guyanese do not date African American women. She is right. Most men on my family do not date African American women. Hell the men in my family would choose African, or Jamaican women over a black American women. And this is true. As for me dating an African American women? It is not about race. It's about compatability, chemistry and now we can build. However the women in my family do not mind being with black American men. They love them.
