Looking for the best place in the U.S.A for me! (job market)

Need

- low humidity! I can't stand the south's heat/humidity!
- weather that rarely ever gets hot (cool/cold weather is fine actually)
- in or near a larger city (300,000+)
- few or no mosquitoes. I am dying in VA from them
- as a software engineer an area with jobs in that field would be great

I know I probably can't find all of this but hopefully something close!

Not so sure about the PNW and no mosquitos. Lived up there for 18 years, and I remember mosquitos. Plus rain = humidity.

SF Bay Area. Depending on where, mild weather year round, no mosquitos. Good job market.

Not really. Summers in the NW are quite dry, and even in the rainy season you never feel the oppressive humidity that's common in the South.

And we do have mosquitoes, but not as many as I remember from other states. A few years ago I talked with someone who moved to Oregon from Louisiana. She thought they would need an exterminator to clear the bugs out before they moved in, but her husband told her to sit in the yard for ten minutes. She was skeptical, but ten minutes later she exclaimed, "There are no bugs here!"

That's an exaggeration, but it tells you how different the Northwest is.
