I'd stay where I am. Good location, growing, great trails to run on. As for the 5 million, I'd spent $750,000 in cash to buy an 'affordable' new construction a minute away from a 1500 acre plot of open space (4 bed, 2 1/2 bath, 2860 square feet on 6 acres) and then another $100,000 to furnish it. Then give parents about $200,000 to pay off the house and do some upgrades (new kitchen, hardwood floors, landscaping). I'd buy a property to flip and a couple of multifamily units to keep as rentals. I' don't know what to do with the rest bc it seems like so much.

If I were to win the lottery tomorrow, I'd immediately purchase as many run-down homes in Scranton and Wilkes-Barre as I could, lovingly restore them to their original grandeur, and then sell them back to needy families for $1. In this sense everyone benefits. The city's tax base will receive a hefty surge upward. Destitute families can have beautiful rooves over their heads. Entire neighborhoods that have been long-blighted from the "white flight" to the Abingtons and Back Mountain will be thriving with playing children again. As for me, I'll score a few brownie points with the big guy upstairs! (Maybe I won't be doomed to hell after all!)

I would share the money with my friend and family. Then, I would buy a three houses so that we could live together as neighbours. I am hoping to win the $15 million dollar lottery jackpot. I keep on having a recurring dream of me winning a huge amount of money and having a big house. It will come true this year!

5 million! That would make me happy.

I would Probably Move Into Yonkers, NY just because i think it has beautiful homes, but also has its urban areas which i love, and it has good diversity with some good schools.
Also the location is perfect. My wife has family in a lot of family in Mount Vernon and a lot in Queens. I have a lot in Hillside, NJ, Hackensack, NJ and Stamford, CT

I'd stay in my area, but move a bit south. Maybe San Luis Obispo? Pismo Beach? Shell Beach? Who knows... but it would definitely be not too far from where I currently live

There's a huge former factory near the Brooklyn waterfront that was recently renovated into large apartments and lofts facing the Brooklyn Bridge. If I won that lottery, I'd buy the largest apartment available on a floor eight or nine stories up...and then I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven, with that view of the bridge right outside my windows.

5 Mil after taxes, I would stay right here, pay the house off, Give my DD a Mil, pay off my brothers house and buy a new car for him and I, give my Dad whatever he needs and invest the rest and hopefully live on it for the rest of my life. How cool is that

This is 5 million tax free right?lol

I'd buy a nice place on Lake Superior in Northern Michigan, Northern Wisconsin, or Northern Minnesota near the Lutsen ski lodge. I'd spend $500,000 at most in one of those states.

Then I'd build a home in NE Tennessee or NW North Carolina. That would be around $800,000.

Then I'd build a place near Glacier National Park in Montana. The rest would be saved and I would use to buy a nice car.

Stay at my house, throw the money in a bank, let it grow, maybe invest some, then I would buy a cabin in Alaska for the summer months.

Oh yes. Definitely Central Coast of California. Either Carmel by the Sea or Pismo Beach would be for me!
