On paper and in conversation (in Tucson), Tucsonans typically detest PHX and never want their city to become another PHX. Makes sense as I was once a Tucsonan and witnessed this often. In reality, many Tucsonans find themselves spending many weekends in Phoenix.
On the flipside, many Phoenicians I've come into contact with have either lived in Tucson and moved to Phoenix or turn their noses down when the subject of Tucson arises; however, of those who turn their noses down, many of them have never even been to Tucson.
Many residents I've encountered in both cities (metros) seem to agree that Yuma is not the place they wish to be.
It varies, but there is some venom from some Upstate NYers towards NYC. Then certain cities/towns may get a certain stigma like Elmira due to the prisons in the area or Utica due its mafia past and grittiness.
In Ohio, it seems that different people have resentment for different parts of the state. Some hate Columbus because of its growth, some hate the northwestern part since it is too "Michigan-like", and other people hate Cleveland or Cincinnati because of the perceived political views of those two cities.
California: Depends on where you live, there are mini-rivalries all over the state. For example here in Orange County we hate the Inland Empire (San Bernardino and Riverside Counties).
Oregon: If you're a Ducks fan, Corvallis. If you're a Beavers fan, Eugene.
Texas: Austin. Do I need to explain further?
On a side note, California also has the Central Valley, which isn't necessarily hated, but often viewed as just completely undesirable by most.
Pretty much anywhere east of the Cascades in Oregon seems to have more in common with Idaho.
A lot rural Texans seem to have a strong dislike towards the state's larger cities, especially Houston and Dallas.
It depends on where you're from. Many from downstate resent Chicago. A lot of people don't like Springfield either. East St. Louis is looked down upon too.
In S.C. I think the mid state resents the coastal part of the state because they are jealousy. The mid part of the state is relativity plain and is political. They virtally copy everything the coast has to compete. If it were not for the capital and a large military base there, it would be non existent.
