I don't think there is one best city anymore, but I'd say

NYC
Chicago
Las Vegas
Miami
LA

I'll have to look into that.

Vegas? Sure, if your idea of a good EDM scene is putting Avicii's Le7els on repeat all night long.

I'd suggest San Francisco, Chicago (birthplace of house), or NYC

LA is definitely king of the electronic scene right now. After that, you have NYC, Miami, and Chicago. SF and DC are pretty good for it as well.

Eh, most of those clubs run a lot of EDM. If Miami is considered to be an Electronic Music scene, then so is Vegas IMO.

I agree on that. The DJ plays for tourists from Nebraska, not for sceneheads from the Mission District or wherever.

Not to mention there are clubs and bars in DC (like 18th Street Lounge, Gazuza, and Current) where you hear some pretty awesome downtempo, chill, and deep house. We're talking some serious Model 500 and DJ Cam sht--meaning the Djs know their stuff.

But Chicago invented deep house! But it's strange, since I associate this type of music with Europe, not the capital of Midwest America.

Deep Dish is also from DC.

The scene there was more localized, not on a national level.

With NYC being so close by it kinda by default stole the spotlight for the whole entire East Coast.
