Your home is dripping with bigotry and oppression. Florida, on the other hand, has had strong Quaker influences.
Which is why my home is where a huge chunk of the black population is currently relocating to, in order to attain opportunities they never had before, right? AAs in Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta are doing better than those in Miami, after all. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it in Florida where a black child was shot for no good reason, and his killer gets away free? Yeah...exactly.

Once the number of white millenials reaches a certain threshold, a city becomes "Yankee." That's effectively what's happened to DC. 23% of domestic migrants to the DC area are from the Northeast, which means it is now Yankee.
Florida has an even higher number. So it's ultra-Yankee.

I wouldn't go that far. New Yorkers haven't molded the entire cultural landscape of South Florida, but they are a much more crucial part of it than Californians or other transplants are to Dallas and Houston. Much more...and I don't think anyone would argue that, even in 2013, the Texas cities definitely have more typically southern traits than Miami.
It's nothing like New York. Just because a bunch of a New Yorkers moved to Miami does not change the history nor the dynamics of the area. By this logic, Houston and Dallas are in borrowed time with the amount of Midwesteners and West coast people moving there.
really? did you read my post above considering who developed Miami? I would call that "History". Southerners didn't "find" Miami or "develop" it! Scroll down to where it says "History" :

Well that's why I said borrowed time the way the demographics are changing in Houston and Dallas and regarding Dallas, I wasn't thinking of just Californians.
