Interesting information. In NY, it seems like most are in Upstate metros, as Syracuse, Utica and Binghamton also have Vietnamese/SE Asian communities.

This number is deceiving as NO's Vietnamese population feels much larger than that.

That is definately the mother of all Vietnamese neighborhoods. I used to work in Garden Grove and I would eat Vietnamese at least three times a week.

I would have thought Washington would have been a lot higher. There seemed to be a large population around the Seattle area. They have some outstanding food places up there, it makes me hungry just thinking about it.

Looks like I messed up a bit in my post. Oh well...

I think that it's obvious that Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawaii have the highest percentages, but then Texas, Virginia, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and Kansas make an interesting "runners-up" list...

Look again. Texas is higher than Oregon in concentration.

Really, the Vietnamese hot spots are California and Texas. Washington state and DC are runners up.

Same here. I didn't learn to appreciate a good banh mi until I worked there, and didn't realize how difficult it is to find a good banh mi until after I left.
